That’s almost the case, as they’ve found a way to fight?over light bulbs.This has been bubbling for some time, as environmentalists have been able to push forward a new efficiency standard that effectively will outlaw the popular incandescent bulbs beginning next year.But in Michigan it came to the surface at a recent House committee meeting, involving a bill from Rep. Tom McMillan (R-Rochester) to avoid a soon-to-take-effect restriction on incandescent light bulbs, by continuing to allow their sale in Michigan if they’re manufactured here.The irony is that potential manufacturers may want to know that the sponsors of the bill to take advantage of the federal restriction are also opposed to and would like to throw out that standard.
