Winners are selected from seven global regions: Latin America, North America, Africa, Europe, APAC (Asia-Pacific), MENA (Middle East and North Africa), and CCA (Caucasus and Central Asia). The final global winners are announced at the awards ceremony in Paris.Fukunaga founded cosmobloom in 2023 with the aim of bringing space-based large-structure construction technologies, which she had researched during her student years, to practical use.
