Since my wife threw away my food, I endured and ate everything she made. Then one day, she decided without consulting me that she would quit her job to become a housewife. From here, things started to get difficult.
Kana has started cooking every day since she became a housewife.
She mentions that they need to save money as they now rely solely on Takeru's salary.
Kana presents a dish that includes herbs given by a neighbor, which turns out to be very bitter.
To save money, Takeru starts bringing homemade bento lunches to work.
Takeru looks despondent in the break room, thinking "sigh..."
A colleague notices Takeru’s bento and exclaims, "Oh! What's this? Takeru, have you finally debuted with a love-packed bento!?"
The colleague, Kouno, greets Takeru enthusiastically.
Kouno comments on how surprising it was to hear that Kana suddenly quit her job.
He glances at Takeru's bento and remarks that having his wife make him a bento must mean they are getting along well.
Kouno, noticing the contents of Takeru's bento, says, "Takeru, if I'm wrong, I apologize... but this bento looks..."
He hesitates to finish his sentence.
